Latin Leap is a Venture Capital Studio (VC Studio) established to help Spanish-Speaking Latin America leapfrog through technology investments in regional early stage start-ups and to soft-land purpose-driven tech companies in Latin America bridging the gap from other emerging and developed markets. Through strong human and financial commitment, Latin Leap aims to provide international tech scale-ups with access to essential resources for successful deployment in Latin America. Latin Leap operates with the efficiency characteristic of software start-ups.

About us
Latin Leap was founded in 2019 by Stefan Krautwald, a long standing technology entrepreneur and senior executive in Latin America. Of German origin, Stefan has lived and worked in several Latin American countries and calls Colombia home. Some of his past corporate roles include Managing Director at Cdiscount (Grupo Exito) and Arvato (Bertelsmann). He is a co-founder of regional online pharmacy pure player Farmalisto and co-Founder and Managing Director of Latin America’s pioneering fashion online retailer Dafiti LATAM (Rocket Internet). He is also a co-founder of Fluz, an innovative cash-back application operating in the United States.
Before fully entering the Venture Capital business as Managing Partner of Latin Leap, Stefan was an active angel investor and adviser to many technology startups in the region. He is a guest lecturer at several local and international universities as well as mentor to several start-up founders and accelerator programs. Stefan holds a Master of Science in Management from the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, Germany. At WHU, he leads the alumni chapter for Latin America. He has also attended executive education programs at INALDE Colombia, IESE Spain, VC University by University of Berkeley Law and Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is also a member of CEAPI (Consejo Empresarial Alianza por Iberoamerica).
